민수기 27장

요셉의 아들 므낫세 가족에 므낫세의 현손 마길의 증손 길르앗의 손자 헤벨의 아들 슬로브핫의 딸들이 나아왔으니 그 딸들의 이름은 말라와 노아와 호글라와 밀가와 디르사라

풀이: 그때 슬로브핫의 딸들이 앞으로 나왔다. 슬로브핫은 헤벨의 아들이고, 헤벨은 길르앗의 아들, 길르앗은 마길의 아들, 마길은 므낫세의 아들이니 — 요셉의 아들 므낫세 지파에 속한 집안이다. 그 딸들의 이름은 말라, 노아, 호글라, 밀가, 디르사였다.

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

그들이 회막 문에서 모세와 제사장 엘르아살과 족장들과 온 회중 앞에 서서 가로되

풀이: 그들은 회막 문 앞으로 나아가, 모세와 제사장 엘르아살, 그리고 지파의 지도자들과 온 공동체 앞에 서서 말했다.

And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

우리 아버지가 광야에서 죽었으나 여호와를 거스려 모인 고라의 무리에 들지 아니하고 자기 죄에 죽었고 아들이 없나이다

풀이: "우리 아버지는 광야에서 죽었습니다. 그러나 신을 거역해 들고일어난 고라의 무리에는 끼지 않았습니다. 그저 자기 잘못으로 죽었을 뿐, 아들을 남기지 못했습니다.

Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

어찌하여 아들이 없다고 우리 아버지의 이름이 그 가족 중에서 삭제되리이까 우리 아버지의 형제 중에서 우리에게 기업을 주소서 하매

풀이: 아들이 없다는 이유만으로, 어찌하여 우리 아버지의 이름이 집안에서 지워져야 합니까? 우리에게도 아버지의 형제들 사이에서 받을 땅을 주십시오."

Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.

모세가 그 사연을 여호와께 품하니라

풀이: 모세는 그 사연을 신 앞에 가지고 갔다.

And Moses brought their cause before the Lord.

여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대

풀이: 신이 모세에게 일렀다.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

슬로브핫 딸들의 말이 옳으니 너는 반드시 그들의 아비의 형제 중에서 그들에게 기업을 주어 얻게 하되 그 아비의 기업으로 그들에게 돌릴찌니라

풀이: "슬로브핫 딸들의 말이 옳다. 너는 반드시 그들에게도 아버지의 형제들 사이에서 물려받을 땅을 주어라. 그 아버지의 몫을 그 딸들에게 넘겨주어라.

The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

너는 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르기를 사람이 죽고 아들이 없거든 그 기업을 그 딸에게 돌릴 것이요

풀이: 그리고 이스라엘 백성에게 이렇게 전하여라. 누군가 죽었는데 아들이 없으면, 그 몫을 딸에게 넘겨주어라.

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

딸도 없거든 그 기업을 그 형제에게 줄 것이요

풀이: 딸도 없으면 그 몫을 그의 형제들에게 주고,

And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.

형제도 없거든 그 기업을 그 아비의 형제에게 줄 것이요

풀이: 형제도 없으면 그 몫을 그의 아버지의 형제들에게 주어라.

And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.

그 아비의 형제도 없거든 그 기업을 가장 가까운 친족에게 주어 얻게 할찌니라 하고 나 여호와가 너 모세에게 명한대로 이스라엘 자손에게 판결의 율례가 되게 할찌니라

풀이: 아버지의 형제마저 없으면, 그 집안에서 가장 가까운 친족에게 그 몫을 주어 차지하게 하여라. 이것은 신이 모세에게 명한 대로, 이스라엘 백성에게 두고두고 지킬 판결의 법이 된다."

And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses.

여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 이 아바림 산에 올라가서 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 준 땅을 바라보라

풀이: 신이 모세에게 말했다. "저 아바림 산에 올라가, 내가 이스라엘 백성에게 준 땅을 바라보아라.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

본 후에는 네 형 아론의 돌아간것 같이 너도 조상에게로 돌아가리니

풀이: 그것을 본 뒤에는, 네 형 아론이 그랬듯이 너도 네 조상들 곁으로 돌아가게 될 것이다.

And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

이는 신 광야에서 회중이 분쟁할제 너희가 내 명을 거역하고 그 물 가에서 나의 거룩함을 그들의 목전에 나타내지 아니하였음이니라 이 물은 신 광야 가데스의 므리바 물이니라

풀이: 신 광야에서 공동체가 다투던 때, 너희가 내 명을 거역하고 그 물가에서 사람들이 보는 앞에 나를 거룩히 드러내지 않았기 때문이다." 이 물이 바로 신 광야 가데스의 므리바 물이다.

For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

모세가 여호와께 여짜와 가로되

풀이: 모세가 신에게 아뢰었다.

And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying,

여호와, 모든 육체의 생명의 하나님이시여 원컨대 한 사람을 이 회중 위에 세워서

풀이: "모든 육체의 숨을 쥐신 신이시여, 이 공동체 위에 한 사람을 세워 주십시오.

Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

그로 그들 앞에 출입하며 그들을 인도하여 출입하게 하사 여호와의 회중으로 목자 없는 양과 같이 되지 않게 하옵소서

풀이: 그가 그들 앞에서 나가고 들어오며, 그들을 이끌어 나가고 이끌어 들이게 하셔서, 신의 공동체가 목자 없는 양 떼처럼 되지 않게 하여 주십시오."

Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 눈의 아들 여호수아는 신에 감동된 자니 너는 데려다가 그에게 안수하고

풀이: 신이 모세에게 말했다. "눈의 아들 여호수아를 데려오너라. 그 안에 숨이 깃든 사람이다. 그에게 네 손을 얹어라.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;

그를 제사장 엘르아살과 온 회중 앞에 세우고 그들의 목전에서 그에게 위탁하여

풀이: 그를 제사장 엘르아살과 온 공동체 앞에 세우고, 모두가 보는 앞에서 그에게 임무를 맡겨라.

And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.

네 존귀를 그에게 돌려 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중으로 그에게 복종하게 하라

풀이: 네 권위의 일부를 그에게 옮겨, 이스라엘 백성의 온 공동체가 그에게 복종하게 하여라.

And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

그는 제사장 엘르아살 앞에 설 것이요 엘르아살은 그를 위하여 우림의 판결법으로 여호와 앞에 물을 것이며 그와 온 이스라엘 자손 곧 온 회중은 엘르아살의 말을 좇아 나가며 들어올 것이니라

풀이: 그는 제사장 엘르아살 앞에 설 것이며, 엘르아살은 그를 위하여 신 앞에서 우림의 판결법으로 물을 것이다. 그의 말에 따라 그들이 나가고, 그의 말에 따라 그들이 들어올 것이다 — 그와 온 이스라엘 백성, 곧 온 공동체가 그리할 것이다."

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

모세가 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신대로 하여 여호수아를 데려다가 제사장 엘르아살과 온 회중 앞에 세우고

풀이: 모세는 신이 명한 그대로 했다. 여호수아를 데려다가 제사장 엘르아살과 온 공동체 앞에 세우고,

And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

그에게 안수하여 위탁하되 여호와께서 자기에게 명하신대로 하였더라

풀이: 그에게 두 손을 얹어 임무를 맡겼다. 신이 모세를 통해 이른 그대로였다.

And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
