레위기 10장

아론의 아들 나답과 아비후가 각기 향로를 가져다가 여호와의 명하시지 않은 다른 불을 담아 여호와 앞에 분향하였더니

풀이: 아론의 두 아들 나답과 아비후가 저마다 향로를 집어 들었다. 거기에 불을 담고 그 위에 향을 얹어, 신이 명한 적 없는 다른 불을 신 앞에 살라 올렸다.

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.

불이 여호와 앞에서 나와 그들을 삼키매 그들이 여호와 앞에서 죽은지라

풀이: 그러자 신 앞에서 불이 터져 나와 그들을 삼켰다. 그렇게 두 사람은 신 앞에서 죽었다.

And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

모세가 아론에게 이르되 이는 여호와의 말씀이라 이르시기를 나는 나를 가까이 하는 자 중에 내가 거룩하다 함을 얻겠고 온 백성 앞에 내가 영광을 얻으리라 하셨느니라 아론이 잠잠하니

풀이: 모세가 아론에게 말했다. "이것이 바로 신이 하신 말씀입니다. '나를 가까이하는 이들 가운데서 나는 거룩함으로 드러나고, 온 백성 앞에서 영광으로 드러나리라.'" 아론은 아무 말도 하지 못했다.

Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

모세가 아론의 아자비 웃시엘의 아들 미사엘과 엘사반을 불러 그들에게 이르되 나아와 너희 형제들을 성소 앞에서 진 밖으로 메어 가라 하매

풀이: 모세는 아론의 삼촌 웃시엘의 두 아들 미사엘과 엘사반을 불러 일렀다. "가까이 와서, 너희 친족의 주검을 성소 앞에서 진영 바깥으로 메고 나가라."

And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

그들이 나아와 모세의 명대로 그들을 옷 입은채 진 밖으로 메어 내니

풀이: 그들이 다가와, 모세가 이른 대로 주검을 입은 옷째로 진영 바깥으로 메어 냈다.

So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.

모세가 아론과 그 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 이르되 너희는 머리를 풀거나 옷을 찢지 말아서 너희 죽음을 면하고 여호와의 진노가 온 회중에게 미침을 면케 하라 오직 너희 형제 이스라엘 온 족속이 여호와의 치신 불로 인하여 슬퍼할 것이니라

풀이: 모세가 아론과 그 남은 두 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 일렀다. "머리를 풀어 헤치지도, 옷을 찢지도 마라. 그래야 너희도 죽지 않고, 온 회중에게 진노가 닥치지도 않는다. 다만 너희 형제, 온 이스라엘 집안은 신이 사르신 그 불을 두고 울어도 된다."

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.

여호와의 관유가 너희에게 있은즉 너희는 회막문에 나가지 말아서 죽음을 면할찌니라 그들이 모세의 명대로 하니라

풀이: "너희에게는 신의 관유가 부어져 있으니, 회막 문 밖으로 나가지 마라. 나가면 죽는다." 그들은 모세가 이른 그대로 따랐다.

And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

여호와께서 아론에게 일러 가라사대

풀이: 신이 아론에게 일렀다.

And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying,

너나 네 자손들이 회막에 들어갈 때에는 포도주나 독주를 마시지 말아서 너희 사망을 면하라 이는 너희 대대로 영영한 규례라

풀이: "너든 네 아들들이든, 회막에 들어갈 때에는 포도주도 독한 술도 마시지 마라. 그래야 죽지 않는다. 이는 대대로 지켜야 할 영원한 규례다."

Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

그리하여야 너희가 거룩하고 속된 것을 분별하며 부정하고 정한 것을 분별하고

풀이: "그래야 너희가 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 가려내고, 부정한 것과 정결한 것을 가려낼 수 있다."

And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

또 여호와가 모세로 명한 모든 규례를 이스라엘 자손에게 가르치리라

풀이: "또 신이 모세를 통해 일러 준 모든 규례를, 이스라엘 백성에게 가르칠 수 있다."

And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

모세가 아론과 그 남은 아들 엘르아살에게와 이다말에게 이르되 여호와께 드린 화제중 소제의 남은 것은 지극히 거룩하니 너희는 그것을 취하여 누룩을 넣지 말고 단 곁에서 먹되

풀이: 모세가 아론과 그 살아남은 두 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 일렀다. "불살라 신께 드린 제물 가운데 남은 곡식 예물은 더없이 거룩하니, 그것을 가져다 누룩을 넣지 말고 제단 곁에서 먹어라."

And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

이는 여호와의 화제중 네 응식과 네 아들의 응식인즉 너희는 그것을 거룩한 곳에서 먹으라 내가 명령을 받았느니라

풀이: "그것을 거룩한 곳에서 먹어라. 이는 불살라 드린 신의 제물 가운데 너와 네 아들들에게 돌아갈 몫이다. 나는 그렇게 명령받았다."

And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.

흔든 가슴과 든 뒷다리는 너와 네 자녀가 너와 함께 정결한 곳에서 먹을찌니 이는 이스라엘 자손의 화목제 희생 중에서 네 응식과 네 자손의 응식으로 주신 것임이니라

풀이: "흔들어 바친 가슴살과 들어 올려 바친 뒷다리는, 너와 네 아들딸이 함께 정결한 곳에서 먹어라. 이는 이스라엘 백성이 드린 화목제 제물 가운데 너와 네 아들들에게 돌아갈 몫이다."

And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

그 든 뒷다리와 흔든 가슴을 화제의 기름과 함께 가져다가 여호와 앞에 흔들어 요제를 삼을찌니 이는 여호와의 명령대로 너와 네 자손의 영원한 응식이니라

풀이: "그 들어 올린 뒷다리와 흔든 가슴살을, 불살라 바치는 기름과 함께 가져다가 신 앞에 흔들어 요제로 삼아라. 신이 명한 대로, 이것은 너와 네 아들들에게 돌아갈 영원한 몫이다."

The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the Lord hath commanded.

모세가 속죄제 드린 염소를 찾은즉 이미 불살랐는지라 그가 아론의 남은 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 노하여 가로되

풀이: 그런데 모세가 속죄제로 드린 염소를 찾아보니, 이미 불태워진 뒤였다. 모세는 아론의 살아남은 두 아들 엘르아살과 이다말에게 화를 내며 말했다.

And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

이 속죄제 희생은 지극히 거룩하거늘 너희가 어찌하여 거룩한 곳에서 먹지 아니하였느뇨 이는 너희로 회중의 죄를 담당하여 그들을 위하여 여호와 앞에 속하게 하려고 너희에게 주신 것이니라

풀이: "어찌하여 그 속죄제물을 거룩한 곳에서 먹지 않았느냐? 그것은 더없이 거룩한 것이요, 너희가 회중의 죄를 짊어지고 신 앞에서 그들을 위해 속죄하라고 너희에게 주신 것이다."

Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?

그 피를 성소에 들여오지 아니하였으니 그 제육은 너희가 나의 명한 대로 거룩한 곳에서 먹었어야 할 것이니라

풀이: "보아라, 그 피도 성소 안으로 들이지 않았으니, 너희는 내가 명한 대로 그것을 거룩한 곳에서 먹었어야 했다."

Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

아론이 모세에게 이르되 오늘 그들이 그 속죄제와 번제를 여호와께 드렸어도 이런 일이 내게 임하였거늘 오늘 내가 속죄 제육을 먹었더면 여호와께서 어찌 선히 여기셨으리요

풀이: 아론이 모세에게 답했다. "보십시오, 오늘 저들이 속죄제와 번제를 신 앞에 드렸는데도 제게 이런 일이 닥쳤습니다. 그런 오늘 제가 속죄제물을 먹었던들, 신이 그것을 좋게 여기셨겠습니까?"

And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?

모세가 그 말을 듣고 좋게 여겼더라

풀이: 모세가 그 말을 듣고 옳게 여겼다.

And when Moses heard that, he was content.
