향과 물과 기름 — 성막의 마지막 비품, 그리고 사람도 '거룩하게 구별된다'
너는 분향할 단을 만들찌니 곧 조각목으로 만들되
풀이: 너는 향을 피우는 제단을 만들어라. 아카시아 나무로 만들어라.
And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it.
장이 일 규빗, 광이 일 규빗으로 네모 반듯하게 하고 고는 이 규빗으로 하며 그 뿔을 그것과 연하게 하고
풀이: 길이 1규빗, 너비 1규빗으로 네모반듯하게 하고, 높이는 2규빗으로 하여라. 네 모서리의 뿔은 제단과 한 덩어리로 이어 만들어라.
A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same.
단 상면과 전후좌우면과 뿔을 정금으로 싸고 주위에 금테를 두를찌며
풀이: 윗면과 사방 옆면과 뿔을 순금으로 입히고, 가장자리에는 빙 둘러 금테를 둘러라.
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.
금테 아래 양편에 금고리 둘을 만들되 곧 그 양편에 만들찌니 이는 단을 메는 채를 꿸 곳이며
풀이: 금테 아래 양쪽 모서리에 금고리 둘을 만들되, 마주 보는 양옆에 하나씩 달아라. 제단을 들어 옮길 채를 꿸 자리다.
And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it; and they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal.
그 채를 조각목으로 만들고 금으로 싸고
풀이: 그 채는 아카시아 나무로 만들고 금으로 입혀라.
And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
그 단을 증거궤 위 속죄소 맞은편 곧 증거궤 앞에 있는 장 밖에 두라 그 속죄소는 내가 너와 만날 곳이며
풀이: 그 제단을 증거궤를 가린 휘장 앞, 곧 증거궤를 덮은 속죄소 맞은편에 두어라. 거기서 내가 너를 만나겠다.
And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.
아론이 아침마다 그 위에 향기로운 향을 사르되 등불을 정리할 때에 사를찌며
풀이: 아론은 아침마다 그 위에 향기로운 향을 피워라. 등불을 손질할 때마다 향을 피워라.
And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
또 저녁때 등불을 켤 때에 사를찌니 이 향은 너희가 대대로 여호와 앞에 끊지 못할찌며
풀이: 저녁 어스름에 등불을 켤 때에도 향을 피워라. 이렇게 너희는 대대로 신 앞에 향을 끊이지 말고 늘 피워야 한다.
And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.
너희는 그 위에 다른 향을 사르지 말며 번제나 소제를 드리지 말며 전제의 술을 붓지 말며
풀이: 그 위에 정해진 것이 아닌 다른 향을 피우지 마라. 짐승을 통째로 태우는 번제도, 곡식 제물도 그 위에 올리지 말고, 부어 바치는 술도 그 위에 붓지 마라.
Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.
아론이 일년 일차씩 이 향단 뿔을 위하여 속죄하되 속죄제의 피로 일년 일차씩 대대로 속죄할찌니라 이 단은 여호와께 지극히 거룩하니라
풀이: 아론은 한 해에 한 번 그 제단의 뿔에 속죄의 의식을 행하여라. 속죄제물의 피를 발라, 한 해에 한 번씩 대대로 이 제단을 위해 속죄하여라. 이 제단은 신에게 더없이 거룩하다.
And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the Lord.
여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
풀이: 신이 모세에게 일렀다.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
네가 이스라엘 자손의 수효를 따라 조사할 때에 조사 받은 각 사람은 그 생명의 속전을 여호와께 드릴찌니 이는 그 계수할 때에 그들 중에 온역이 없게 하려 함이라
풀이: 네가 이스라엘 사람들의 수를 헤아려 인구를 조사할 때, 등록되는 사람마다 제 목숨값을 신에게 바쳐야 한다. 그래야 인구를 셀 때 그들 사이에 재앙이 닥치지 않는다.
When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the Lord, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
무릇 계수 중에 드는 자마다 성소에 세겔대로 반 세겔을 낼찌니 한 세겔은 이십 게라라 그 반 세겔을 여호와께 드릴찌며
풀이: 조사를 받아 등록되는 사람은 누구나 성소의 기준 무게로 반 세겔을 내야 한다. 1세겔은 20게라다. 그 반 세겔을 신에게 바치는 것이다.
This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the Lord.
무릇 계수 중에 드는 자 곧 이십 세 이상 된 자가 여호와께 드리되
풀이: 조사를 받아 등록되는 사람, 곧 20세 이상인 사람은 모두 신에게 이 예물을 바쳐야 한다.
Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the Lord.
너희의 생명을 속하기 위하여 여호와께 드릴 때에 부자라고 반 세겔에서 더 내지 말고 가난한 자라고 덜 내지 말찌며
풀이: 너희 목숨을 대속하려고 신에게 바칠 때, 부자라고 반 세겔보다 더 내지 말고, 가난한 사람이라고 그보다 덜 내지 마라.
The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls.
너는 이스라엘 자손에게서 속전을 취하여 회막의 봉사에 쓰라 이것이 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 자손의 기념이 되어서 너희의 생명을 속하리라
풀이: 너는 이스라엘 사람들에게서 이 속전을 거두어 만남의 천막을 섬기는 데 써라. 이것이 신 앞에서 이스라엘 사람들을 기억하게 하는 표가 되어, 너희 목숨을 대속할 것이다.
And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls.
여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
풀이: 신이 모세에게 일렀다.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
너는 물두멍을 놋으로 만들고 그 받침도 놋으로 만들어 씻게 하되 그것을 회막과 단 사이에 두고 그 속에 물을 담으라
풀이: 너는 놋으로 대야를 만들고 그 받침도 놋으로 만들어, 씻는 데 쓰도록 하여라. 그것을 만남의 천막과 제단 사이에 두고 그 안에 물을 채워라.
Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
아론과 그 아들들이 그 두멍에서 수족을 씻되
풀이: 아론과 그 아들들이 그 물로 손과 발을 씻을 것이다.
For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
그들이 회막에 들어갈 때에 물로 씻어 죽기를 면할 것이요 단에 가까이 가서 그 직분을 행하여 화제를 여호와 앞에 사를 때에도 그리 할찌니라
풀이: 그들은 만남의 천막에 들어갈 때 물로 씻어야 죽음을 면한다. 제단에 다가가 직무를 행하며 신에게 불살라 바치는 제물을 올릴 때에도 그렇게 해야 한다.
When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the Lord:
이와 같이 그들이 그 수족을 씻어 죽기를 면할찌니 이는 그와 그 자손이 대대로 영원히 지킬 규례니라
풀이: 이렇게 그들은 손과 발을 씻어야 죽음을 면한다. 이것은 아론과 그 자손이 대대로 영원히 지킬 규례다.
So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
여호와께서 모세에게 또 일러 가라사대
풀이: 신이 모세에게 또 일렀다.
Moreover the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
너는 상등 향품을 취하되 액체 몰약 오백 세겔과 그 반수의 향기로운 육계 이백 오십 세겔과 향기로운 창포 이백 오십 세겔과
풀이: 너는 으뜸가는 향료를 마련하여라. 흘러내린 순수한 몰약 500세겔, 그 절반인 향기로운 계피 250세겔, 향기로운 창포 250세겔,
Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
계피 오백 세겔을 성소의 세겔대로 하고 감람 기름 한 힌을 취하여
풀이: 계수나무 껍질 500세겔을 성소의 기준 무게로 마련하고, 올리브기름 1힌을 마련하여라.
And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:
그것으로 거룩한 관유를 만들되 향을 제조하는 법대로 향기름을 만들찌니 그것이 거룩한 관유가 될찌라
풀이: 그것으로 거룩한 기름을 만들어라. 향 만드는 장인의 솜씨로 빚은 향기로운 기름, 곧 거룩하게 구별하는 데 쓰는 기름이다.
And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.
너는 그것으로 회막과 증거궤에 바르고
풀이: 그 기름을 만남의 천막과 증거궤에 발라라.
And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,
상과 그 모든 기구며 등대와 그 기구며 분향단과
풀이: 상과 그 모든 기구, 등잔대와 그 기구, 향을 피우는 제단,
And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,
및 번제단과 그 모든 기구와 물두멍과 그 받침에 발라
풀이: 번제단과 그 모든 기구, 그리고 대야와 그 받침에도 발라라.
And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.
그것들을 지성물로 구별하라 무릇 이것에 접촉하는 것이 거룩하리라
풀이: 이렇게 그것들을 거룩하게 구별하여라. 그러면 더없이 거룩해져서, 거기에 닿는 것은 무엇이든 거룩해진다.
And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.
너는 아론과 그 아들들에게 기름을 발라 그들을 거룩하게 하고 그들로 내게 제사장 직분을 행하게 하고
풀이: 아론과 그 아들들에게도 이 기름을 발라 거룩하게 구별하여, 그들이 나를 섬기는 제사장 직무를 맡게 하여라.
And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르기를 이것은 너희 대대로 내게 거룩한 관유니
풀이: 이스라엘 사람들에게는 이렇게 일러라. 이것은 너희 대대로 나에게 거룩한, 구별하는 기름이다.
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
사람의 몸에 붓지 말며 이 방법대로 이와 같은 것을 만들지 말라 이는 거룩하니 너희는 거룩히 여기라
풀이: 이 기름을 사람의 몸에 붓지 말고, 같은 처방으로 이와 똑같은 것을 만들지도 마라. 이것은 거룩하니, 너희도 거룩하게 여겨야 한다.
Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
무릇 이와 같은 것을 만드는 자나 무릇 이것을 타인에게 붓는 자는 그 백성 중에서 끊쳐지리라 하라
풀이: 이와 똑같은 것을 만드는 사람이나, 이것을 자격 없는 사람에게 붓는 사람은 제 백성에게서 끊어질 것이다.
Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.
여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 소합향과 나감향과 풍자향의 향품을 취하고 그 향품을 유향에 섞되 각기 동일한 중수로 하고
풀이: 신이 모세에게 일렀다. 너는 향료를 마련하여라. 소합향과 나감향과 풍자향, 이 향료들을 순수한 유향과 똑같은 양으로 섞어라.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:
그것으로 향을 만들되 향 만드는 법대로 만들고 그것에 소금을 쳐서 성결하게 하고
풀이: 그것으로 향을 만들되, 향 만드는 장인의 솜씨로 빚어라. 소금을 쳐서 잘 섞고, 순수하고 거룩하게 만들어라.
And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:
그 향 얼마를 곱게 찧어 내가 너와 만날 회막 안 증거궤 앞에 두라 이 향은 너희에게 지극히 거룩하니라
풀이: 그 향 얼마를 곱게 빻아, 내가 너를 만날 만남의 천막 안 증거궤 앞에 두어라. 이 향은 너희에게 더없이 거룩하다.
And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
네가 만들 향은 여호와를 위하여 거룩한 것이니 그 방법대로 너희를 위하여 만들지 말라
풀이: 네가 만드는 이 향은 신을 위한 거룩한 것이니, 같은 처방으로 너희가 쓰려고 만들지는 마라.
And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the Lord.
무릇 맡으려고 이같은 것을 만드는 자는 그 백성 중에서 끊쳐지리라
풀이: 그 냄새를 맡으려고 이와 똑같은 것을 만드는 사람은 제 백성에게서 끊어질 것이다.
Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.
