출애굽기 12장

여호와께서 애굽 땅에서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대

풀이: 신이 이집트 땅에서 모세와 아론에게 일러 말했다.

And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

이 달로 너희에게 달의 시작 곧 해의 첫 달이 되게 하고

풀이: "이 달을 너희에게 달들의 시작, 곧 한 해의 첫 달로 삼아라.

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

너희는 이스라엘 회중에게 고하여 이르라 이 달 열흘에 너희 매인이 어린 양을 취할찌니 각 가족대로 그 식구를 위하여 어린 양을 취하되

풀이: 이스라엘 온 회중에게 일러라. 이 달 10일에 각 사람이 집안별로 어린 양 한 마리씩, 한 가구에 한 마리를 마련하여라.

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

그 어린 양에 대하여 식구가 너무 적으면 그 집의 이웃과 함께 인수를 따라서 하나를 취하며 각 사람의 식량을 따라서 너희 어린 양을 계산할 것이며

풀이: 한 가구의 식구가 양 한 마리를 다 먹기에 너무 적으면, 가까운 이웃집과 함께 사람 수대로 마련하여라. 각자 먹는 양에 맞추어 양을 몇 마리 잡을지 셈하여라.

And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

너희 어린 양은 흠 없고 일년 된 수컷으로 하되 양이나 염소 중에서 취하고

풀이: 양은 흠 없는 1년 된 수컷이라야 한다. 양 떼에서 고르든 염소 떼에서 고르든 된다.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

이 달 십 사일까지 간직하였다가 해 질 때에 이스라엘 회중이 그 양을 잡고

풀이: 그것을 이 달 14일까지 두었다가, 이스라엘 온 공동체가 해 질 무렵에 잡아라.

And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

그 피로 양을 먹을 집 문 좌우 설주와 인방에 바르고

풀이: 그 피를 받아, 그것을 먹을 집의 문설주 양쪽과 문 위 상인방에 발라라.

And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

그 밤에 그 고기를 불에 구워 무교병과 쓴 나물과 아울러 먹되

풀이: 그날 밤에 그 고기를 불에 구워, 누룩 없는 빵과 쓴 나물과 함께 먹어라.

And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

날로나 물에 삶아서나 먹지 말고 그 머리와 정강이와 내장을 다 불에 구워 먹고

풀이: 날로 먹거나 물에 삶아 먹지 말고, 머리와 다리와 내장까지 모두 불에 구워 먹어라.

Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

아침까지 남겨 두지말며 아침까지 남은 것은 곧 소화하라

풀이: 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두지 마라. 아침까지 남은 것은 불에 태워라.

And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

너희는 그것을 이렇게 먹을찌니 허리에 띠를 띠고 발에 신을 신고 손에 지팡이를 잡고 급히 먹으라 이것이 여호와의 유월절이니라

풀이: 이렇게 먹어라. 허리에 띠를 매고, 발에 신을 신고, 손에 지팡이를 쥔 채, 서둘러 먹어라. 이것은 신의 유월절이다.

And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover.

내가 그 밤에 애굽 땅에 두루 다니며 사람과 짐승을 무론하고 애굽 나라 가운데 처음 난 것을 다 치고 애굽의 모든 신에게 벌을 내리리라 나는 여호와로라

풀이: 그날 밤에 내가 이집트 땅을 가로질러 지나가며, 사람이든 짐승이든 이집트 땅의 모든 맏이를 치고, 이집트의 모든 신에게 심판을 내리겠다. 나는 신이다.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

내가 애굽 땅을 칠 때에 그 피가 너희의 거하는 집에 있어서 너희를 위하여 표적이 될찌라 내가 피를 볼 때에 너희를 넘어가리니 재앙이 너희에게 내려 멸하지 아니하리라

풀이: 그 피가 너희가 있는 집의 표가 될 것이다. 내가 그 피를 보면 너희를 넘어가리니, 내가 이집트 땅을 칠 때에 멸하는 재앙이 너희에게는 미치지 않을 것이다.

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

너희는 이 날을 기념하여 여호와의 절기를 삼아 영원한 규례로 대대에 지킬찌니라

풀이: 너희는 이날을 기념일로 삼아, 신을 위한 절기로 대대에 지켜라. 영원한 규례로 지켜라.

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

너희는 칠일 동안 무교병을 먹을찌니 그 첫날에 누룩을 너희 집에서 제하라 무릇 첫날부터 칠일까지 유교병을 먹는 자는 이스라엘에서 끊쳐지리라

풀이: 7일 동안 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어라. 첫날에 누룩을 너희 집에서 치워라. 누구든 첫날부터 7일째까지 누룩 든 빵을 먹는 자는 이스라엘에서 끊어질 것이다.

Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

너희에게 첫날에도 성회요 제 칠일에도 성회가 되리니 이 두 날에는 아무 일도 하지 말고 각인의 식물만 너희가 갖출 것이니라

풀이: 첫날에도 거룩한 모임을 갖고 7일째에도 거룩한 모임을 가져라. 그 두 날에는 아무 일도 하지 마라. 다만 각자 먹을 것을 마련하는 일만은 해도 된다.

And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

너희는 무교절을 지키라 이 날에 내가 너희 군대를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내었음이니라 그러므로 너희가 영원한 규례를 삼아 이 날을 대대로 지킬찌니라

풀이: 너희는 무교절을 지켜라. 바로 이날에 내가 너희 무리를 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 냈기 때문이다. 그러므로 이날을 영원한 규례로 대대에 지켜라.

And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

정월에 그 달 십사일 저녁부터 이십일일 저녁까지 너희는 무교병을 먹을 것이요

풀이: 첫째 달 14일 저녁부터 21일 저녁까지, 너희는 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어라.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

칠일 동안은 누룩을 너희 집에 있지 않게 하라 무릇 유교물을 먹는 자는 타국인이든지 본국에서 난 자든지 무론하고 이스라엘 회중에서 끊쳐지리니

풀이: 7일 동안 너희 집에 누룩이 있어서는 안 된다. 누룩 든 것을 먹는 자는, 이방 사람이든 본토에서 난 사람이든 이스라엘 회중에서 끊어질 것이다.

Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

너희는 아무 유교물이든지 먹지 말고 너희 모든 유하는 곳에서 무교병을 먹을찌니라

풀이: 너희는 누룩 든 것을 아무것도 먹지 마라. 너희가 사는 모든 곳에서 누룩 없는 빵을 먹어라."

Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

모세가 이스라엘 모든 장로를 불러서 그들에게 이르되 너희는 나가서 너희 가족대로 어린 양을 택하여 유월절 양으로 잡고

풀이: 그러자 모세가 이스라엘의 모든 장로를 불러 일렀다. "가서 너희 가족별로 양을 골라, 유월절 양으로 잡아라.

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

너희는 우슬초 묶음을 취하여 그릇에 담은 피에 적시어서 그 피를 문 인방과 좌우 설주에 뿌리고 아침까지 한 사람도 자기 집 문밖에 나가지 말라

풀이: 우슬초 한 묶음을 가져다 그릇에 담긴 피에 적셔, 그 피를 상인방과 문설주 양쪽에 발라라. 그리고 아침까지 아무도 집 문밖으로 나가지 마라.

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

여호와께서 애굽 사람을 치러 두루 다니실 때에 문 인방과 좌우 설주의 피를 보시면 그 문을 넘으시고 멸하는 자로 너희 집에 들어가서 너희를 치지 못하게 하실 것임이니라

풀이: 신이 이집트를 치러 지나가다가 상인방과 문설주 양쪽의 피를 보면 그 문을 넘어가고, 멸하는 자가 너희 집에 들어와 너희를 치지 못하게 할 것이다.

For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

너희는 이 일을 규례로 삼아 너희와 너희 자손이 영원히 지킬 것이니

풀이: 너희는 이 일을 규례로 삼아, 너희와 너희 자손이 영원히 지켜라.

And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

너희는 여호와께서 허락하신 대로 너희에게 주시는 땅에 이를 때에 이 예식을 지킬 것이라

풀이: 신이 약속한 대로 너희에게 줄 땅에 들어가거든, 너희는 이 예식을 지켜라.

And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

이 후에 너희 자녀가 묻기를 이 예식이 무슨 뜻이냐 하거든

풀이: 훗날 너희 자녀가 '이 예식이 무슨 뜻이냐'고 묻거든,

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

너희는 이르기를 이는 여호와의 유월절 제사라 여호와께서 애굽 사람을 치실 때에 애굽에 있는 이스라엘 자손의 집을 넘으사 우리의 집을 구원하셨느니라 하라 하매 백성이 머리 숙여 경배하니라

풀이: 이렇게 답하여라. '이는 신의 유월절 제사다. 신이 이집트 사람을 칠 때에 이집트에 있던 이스라엘 자손의 집을 넘어가, 우리 집을 건져 주셨다.'" 그러자 백성은 머리 숙여 절했다.

That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

이스라엘 자손이 물러가서 그대로 행하되 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 명하신 대로 행하니라

풀이: 이스라엘 자손은 물러가, 신이 모세와 아론에게 명한 그대로 행했다.

And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

밤중에 여호와께서 애굽 땅에서 모든 처음 난것 곧 위에 앉은 바로의 장자로부터 옥에 갇힌 사람의 장자까지와 생축의 처음 난 것을 다 치시매

풀이: 한밤중에 신은 이집트 땅의 모든 맏이를, 왕좌에 앉은 파라오의 맏아들부터 지하 감옥에 갇힌 자의 맏아들까지, 그리고 가축의 맏배까지 모조리 쳤다.

And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

그 밤에 바로와 그 모든 신하와 모든 애굽 사람이 일어나고 애굽에 큰 호곡이 있었으니 이는 그 나라에 사망치 아니한 집이 하나도 없었음이었더라

풀이: 그 밤에 파라오와 그 모든 신하와 온 이집트 사람이 일어났고, 이집트에 큰 통곡이 터졌다. 죽은 이가 없는 집이 하나도 없었기 때문이다.

And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

밤에 바로가 모세와 아론을 불러서 이르되 너희와 이스라엘 자손은 일어나 내 백성 가운데서 떠나서 너희의 말대로 가서 여호와를 섬기며

풀이: 파라오는 밤중에 모세와 아론을 불러 말했다. "일어나 내 백성 가운데서 떠나라, 너희도 이스라엘 자손도. 너희 말대로 가서 신을 섬겨라.

And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.

너희의 말대로 너희의 양도 소도 몰아가고 나를 위하여 축복하라 하며

풀이: 너희 말대로 너희 양 떼와 소 떼도 끌고 가라. 그리고 나를 위해서도 복을 빌어 달라."

Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

애굽 사람들은 말하기를 우리가 다 죽은 자가 되도다 하고 백성을 재촉하여 그 지경에서 속히 보내려 하므로

풀이: 이집트 사람들은 백성을 다그쳐 서둘러 땅에서 내보내려 했다. "이러다 우리가 다 죽겠다" 하면서.

And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

백성이 발교되지 못한 반죽 담은 그릇을 옷에 싸서 어깨에 메니라

풀이: 백성은 미처 부풀지 않은 반죽을 반죽 그릇째 옷에 싸서 어깨에 둘러멨다.

And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

이스라엘 자손이 모세의 말대로 하여 애굽 사람에게 은금 패물과 의복을 구하매

풀이: 이스라엘 자손은 모세가 일러 준 대로, 이집트 사람에게 은붙이와 금붙이와 옷을 요청했다.

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

여호와께서 애굽 사람으로 백성에게 은혜를 입히게 하사 그들의 구하는대로 주게 하시므로 그들이 애굽 사람의 물품을 취하였더라

풀이: 신은 이집트 사람의 눈에 백성이 좋게 보이게 하여, 그들이 요청하는 대로 내주게 했다. 이렇게 이스라엘은 이집트를 털어 냈다.

And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

이스라엘 자손이 라암셋에서 발행하여 숙곳에 이르니 유아 외에 보행하는 장정이 육십만 가량이요

풀이: 이스라엘 자손은 라암셋을 떠나 숙곳으로 갔다. 아이들 외에 걸어서 이동한 장정만 60만 명가량이었다.

And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

중다한 잡족과 양과 소와 심히 많은 생축이 그들과 함께 하였으며

풀이: 여러 갈래에서 모인 잡다한 무리도 함께 올라갔고, 양 떼와 소 떼, 매우 많은 가축도 함께였다.

And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

그들이 가지고 나온 발교되지 못한 반죽으로 무교병을 구웠으니 이는 그들이 애굽에서 쫓겨남으로 지체할 수 없었음이며 아무 양식도 준비하지 못하였음이었더라

풀이: 그들은 이집트에서 가지고 나온 반죽으로 누룩 없는 빵을 구웠다. 그 반죽은 미처 부풀지 못했는데, 그들이 이집트에서 쫓겨나느라 지체할 수 없었고 먹을 것을 챙길 겨를도 없었기 때문이다.

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

이스라엘 자손이 애굽에 거주한 지 사백 삼십년이라

풀이: 이스라엘 자손이 이집트에 머문 기간은 430년이었다.

Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

사백 삼십년이 마치는 그 날에 여호와의 군대가 다 애굽 땅에서 나왔은즉

풀이: 430년이 끝나는 바로 그날에, 신의 모든 무리가 이집트 땅에서 나왔다.

And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

이 밤은 그들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내심을 인하여 여호와 앞에 지킬 것이니 이는 여호와의 밤이라 이스라엘 자손이 다 대대로 지킬 것이니라

풀이: 이 밤은 신이 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 낸 것을 기리며 신 앞에 지키는 밤이다. 이는 신의 밤이니, 이스라엘 자손 모두가 대대로 지킬 것이다.

It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 이르시되 유월절 규례가 이러하니라 이방 사람은 먹지 못할 것이나

풀이: 신이 모세와 아론에게 말했다. "유월절 규례는 이러하다. 이방 사람은 그것을 먹어서는 안 된다.

And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

각 사람이 돈으로 산 종은 할례를 받은 후에 먹을 것이며

풀이: 다만 돈으로 산 종은 할례를 받은 뒤에 먹을 수 있다.

But every man’s servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

거류인과 타국 품군은 먹지 못하리라

풀이: 잠시 머무는 나그네와 품꾼은 먹어서는 안 된다.

A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

한 집에서 먹되 그 고기를 조금도 집 밖으로 내지 말고 뼈도 꺾지 말찌며

풀이: 한 집 안에서 먹어라. 그 고기를 집 밖으로 조금도 내가지 마라. 그리고 뼈를 하나도 꺾지 마라.

In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

이스라엘 회중이 다 이것을 지킬찌니라

풀이: 이스라엘 온 회중이 이것을 지켜야 한다.

All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.

너희와 함께 거하는 타국인이 여호와의 유월절을 지키고자 하거든 그 모든 남자는 할례를 받은 후에야 가까이하여 지킬찌니 곧 그는 본토인과 같이 될 것이나 할례 받지 못한 자는 먹지 못할 것이니라

풀이: 너희와 함께 머무는 이방 사람이 신의 유월절을 지키고 싶어 하거든, 그 집 남자가 모두 할례를 받은 뒤에라야 다가와 지킬 수 있다. 그러면 그는 본토에서 난 사람과 같아진다. 그러나 할례받지 않은 자는 먹어서는 안 된다.

And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

본토인에게나 너희 중에 우거한 이방인에게나 이 법이 동일하니라 하셨으므로

풀이: 본토에서 난 사람에게나 너희 가운데 머무는 이방 사람에게나 이 법은 똑같다."

One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

온 이스라엘 자손이 이와 같이 행하되 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 명하신대로 행하였으며

풀이: 온 이스라엘 자손은 이와 같이, 신이 모세와 아론에게 명한 그대로 행했다.

Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

그 같은 날에 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손을 그 군대대로 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내셨더라

풀이: 바로 그날에 신은 이스라엘 자손을 그 무리대로 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 냈다.

And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
