민수기 9장

애굽 땅에서 나온 다음 해 정월에 여호와께서 시내 광야에서 모세에게 일러 가라사대

풀이: 이집트 땅에서 나온 지 2년째 되는 해 첫째 달, 신이 시내 광야에서 모세에게 일렀다.

And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

이스라엘 자손으로 유월절을 그 정기에 지키게 하라

풀이: "이스라엘 백성에게 유월절을 정해진 때에 지키게 하여라."

Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.

그 정기 곧 이달 십사일 해질 때에 너희는 그것을 지키되 그 모든 율례와 그 모든 규례대로 지킬찌니라

풀이: "바로 이달 14일 해 질 무렵이 그때다. 너희는 그날 유월절을 지키되, 그에 딸린 모든 규정과 절차를 빠짐없이 따라 지켜라."

In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.

모세가 이스라엘 자손에게 명하여 유월절을 지키라 하매

풀이: 모세가 이스라엘 백성에게 유월절을 지키라고 일렀다.

And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.

그들이 정월 십사일 해 질 때에 시내 광야에서 유월절을 지켰으되 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 것을 다 좇아 행하였더라

풀이: 그들은 첫째 달 14일 해 질 무렵, 시내 광야에서 유월절을 지켰다. 신이 모세에게 명한 그대로 이스라엘 백성은 하나도 빠짐없이 행했다.

And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

때에 사람의 시체로 인하여 부정케 되어서 유월절을 지킬 수 없는 사람들이 있었는데 그들이 당일에 모세와 아론 앞에 이르러

풀이: 그런데 마침 사람의 주검을 만져 부정해진 탓에 그날 유월절을 지킬 수 없는 이들이 있었다. 그들이 바로 그날 모세와 아론 앞에 나아와

And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

그에게 이르되 우리가 사람의 시체로 인하여 부정케 되었거니와 우리를 금지하여 이스라엘 자손과 함께 정기에 여호와께 예물을 드리지 못하게 하심은 어찜이니이까

풀이: 이렇게 물었다. "우리가 주검 때문에 부정해진 것은 맞습니다. 그렇다고 우리만 정해진 때에 다른 이스라엘 사람들과 함께 신께 예물을 드리지 못하도록 막으시는 까닭이 무엇입니까?"

And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

모세가 그들에게 이르되 기다리라 여호와께서 너희에게 대하여 어떻게 명하시는지 내가 들으리라

풀이: 모세가 그들에게 답했다. "여기서 기다려라. 신이 너희 일을 두고 어떻게 명하시는지 내가 들어 보겠다."

And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.

여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대

풀이: 신이 모세에게 일렀다.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르라 너희나 너희 후손 중에 시체로 인하여 부정케 되든지 먼 여행 중에 있든지 할찌라도 다 여호와 앞에 마땅히 유월절을 지키되

풀이: "이스라엘 백성에게 전하여라. 너희든 너희 후손이든, 주검에 닿아 부정해졌거나 먼 길을 떠나 있더라도, 신을 위한 유월절은 마땅히 지켜야 한다."

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord.

이월 십사일 해 질 때에 그것을 지켜서 어린 양에 무교병과 쓴 나물을 아울러 먹을 것이요

풀이: "다만 그런 사람은 둘째 달 14일 해 질 무렵에 그것을 지키면 된다. 어린 양을 무교병과 쓴 나물에 곁들여 먹어라."

The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

아침까지 그것을 조금도 남겨 두지 말며 그 뼈를 하나도 꺾지 말아서 유월절 모든 율례대로 지킬 것이니라

풀이: "아침까지 조금도 남기지 말고, 뼈는 하나도 꺾지 마라. 유월절의 모든 규정을 그대로 따라 지켜라."

They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

그러나 사람이 정결도 하고 여행 중에도 있지 아니하면서 유월절을 지키지 아니하는 자는 그 백성 중에서 끊쳐지리니 이런 사람은 그 정기에 여호와께 예물을 드리지 아니하였은즉 그 죄를 당할찌며

풀이: "그러나 정결하고 여행 중도 아니면서 유월절을 지키지 않는 사람은 제 백성에게서 끊어진다. 정해진 때에 신께 예물을 드리지 않았으니, 그 사람은 제 죄를 짊어진다."

But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

만일 타국인이 너희 중에 우거하여 여호와 앞에 유월절을 지키고자 하면 유월절 율례대로 그 규례를 따라서 행할찌니 우거한 자에게나 본토인에게나 그 율례는 동일할 것이니라

풀이: "너희 가운데 머무는 이방인이 신을 위해 유월절을 지키려 하거든, 유월절 규정과 절차를 그대로 따라 행하게 하여라. 머물러 사는 이방인에게나 본토에서 난 사람에게나 율례는 똑같다."

And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the Lord; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

성막을 세운 날에 구름이 성막 곧 증거막을 덮었고 저녁이 되면 성막 위에 불 모양 같은 것이 나타나서 아침까지 이르렀으되

풀이: 성막을 세운 날, 구름이 성막 곧 증거의 장막을 덮었다. 그리고 저녁이 되면 성막 위에 불처럼 보이는 것이 나타나 아침까지 이어졌다.

And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

항상 그러하여 낮에는 구름이 그것을 덮었고 밤이면 불 모양이 있었는데

풀이: 늘 그러했다 — 낮에는 구름이 성막을 덮었고, 밤이면 불처럼 보이는 것이 있었다.

So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

구름이 성막에서 떠오르는 때에는 이스라엘 자손이 곧 진행하였고 구름이 머무는 곳에 이스라엘 자손이 진을 쳤으니

풀이: 구름이 장막에서 떠오르면 이스라엘 백성은 곧 길을 떠났고, 구름이 내려앉는 곳에 진을 쳤다.

And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 명을 좇아 진행하였고 여호와의 명을 좇아 진을 쳤으며 구름이 성막 위에 머무는 동안에는 그들이 유진하였고

풀이: 이스라엘 백성은 신의 입을 따라 길을 떠나고, 신의 입을 따라 진을 쳤다. 구름이 성막 위에 머무는 동안에는 진을 친 채 머물렀다.

At the commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

구름이 장막 위에 머무는 날이 오랠 때에는 이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 명을 지켜 진행치 아니하였으며

풀이: 구름이 성막 위에 오래 머무를 때에도, 이스라엘 백성은 신이 맡긴 바를 지켜 떠나지 않았다.

And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not.

혹시 구름이 장막 위에 머무는 날이 적을 때에도 그들이 다만 여호와의 명을 좇아 유진하고 여호와의 명을 좇아 진행하였으며

풀이: 더러는 구름이 성막 위에 며칠만 머물 때도 있었다. 그래도 그들은 신의 입을 따라 진을 치고, 신의 입을 따라 길을 떠났다.

And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed.

혹시 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지 있다가 아침에 그 구름이 떠 오를 때에는 그들이 진행하였고 구름이 밤낮 있다가 떠 오르면 곧 진행하였으며

풀이: 더러는 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 있다가 아침에 떠오르기도 했는데, 그러면 그들은 길을 떠났다. 밤이든 낮이든 구름이 떠오르기만 하면 곧 떠났다.

And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

이틀이든지 한 달이든지 일년이든지 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있을 동안에는 이스라엘 자손이 유진하고 진행치 아니하다가 떠 오르면 진행하였으니

풀이: 2일이든 한 달이든 1년이든, 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 동안에는 이스라엘 백성은 진을 친 채 떠나지 않았고, 구름이 떠오르면 비로소 길을 떠났다.

Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

곧 그들이 여호와의 명을 좇아 진을 치며 여호와의 명을 좇아 진행하고 또 모세로 전하신 여호와의 명을 따라 여호와의 직임을 지켰더라

풀이: 신의 입을 따라 진을 치고, 신의 입을 따라 길을 떠났다. 모세를 통해 전해진 신의 입을 따라, 그들은 신이 맡긴 바를 지켰다.

At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
