창세기 46장

이스라엘이 모든 소유를 이끌고 발행하여 브엘세바에 이르러 그 아비 이삭의 하나님께 희생을 드리니

풀이: 이스라엘은 가진 모든 것을 챙겨 길을 떠났다. 브엘세바에 이르러, 그는 자기 아버지 이삭이 섬기던 신에게 희생제물을 바쳤다.

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer–sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

밤에 하나님이 이상 중에 이스라엘에게 나타나시고 불러 가라사대 야곱아 야곱아 하시는지라 야곱이 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 하매

풀이: 그날 밤, 신이 환상 가운데 이스라엘에게 나타나 그를 불렀다. "야곱아, 야곱아." 야곱이 대답했다. "제가 여기 있습니다."

And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

하나님이 가라사대 나는 하나님이라 네 아비의 하나님이니 애굽으로 내려가기를 두려워 말라 내가 거기서 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 하리라

풀이: 신이 말했다. "나는 신이다. 네 아버지가 섬기던 그 신이다. 애굽으로 내려가기를 두려워하지 마라. 내가 거기서 너를 큰 민족으로 만들겠다."

And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

내가 너와 함께 애굽으로 내려가겠고 정녕 너를 인도하여 다시 올라올 것이며 요셉이 그 손으로 네 눈을 감기리라 하셨더라

풀이: "내가 너와 함께 애굽으로 내려가겠고, 반드시 너를 다시 데리고 올라오겠다. 그리고 요셉이 제 손으로 네 눈을 감겨 줄 것이다."

I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

야곱이 브엘세바에서 발행할쌔 이스라엘의 아들들이 바로의 태우려고 보낸 수레에 자기들의 아비 야곱과 자기들의 처자들을 태웠고

풀이: 야곱은 브엘세바를 떠났다. 이스라엘의 아들들은 바로가 야곱을 모셔 오라고 보낸 수레에 아버지 야곱과 자기들의 어린것들과 아내들을 태웠다.

And Jacob rose up from Beer–sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

그 생축과 가나안 땅에서 얻은 재물을 이끌었으며 야곱과 그 자손들이 다함께 애굽으로 갔더라

풀이: 그들은 가축과 가나안 땅에서 모은 재산을 이끌고, 야곱과 그 모든 자손이 다 함께 애굽으로 들어갔다.

And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

이와 같이 야곱이 그 아들들과 손자들과 딸들과 손녀들 곧 그 모든 자손을 데리고 애굽으로 갔더라

풀이: 이렇게 야곱은 아들과 손자, 딸과 손녀 — 그 모든 자손을 데리고 애굽으로 내려갔다.

His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.

애굽으로 내려간 이스라엘 가족의 이름이 이러하니 야곱과 그 아들들 곧 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤과

풀이: 애굽으로 내려간 이스라엘 집안의 이름은 이러하다. 야곱과 그 아들들. 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤,

And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

르우벤의 아들 하녹과 발루와 헤스론과 갈미요

풀이: 르우벤의 아들은 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 갈미.

And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

시므온의 아들 곧 여무엘과 야민과 오핫과 야긴과 스할과 가나안 여인의 소생 사울이요

풀이: 시므온의 아들은 여무엘, 야민, 오핫, 야긴, 스할, 그리고 가나안 여인에게서 난 사울.

And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

레위의 아들 곧 게르손과 그핫과 므라리요

풀이: 레위의 아들은 게르손, 그핫, 므라리.

And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

유다의 아들 곧 엘과 오난과 셀라와 베레스와 세라니 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었고 또 베레스의 아들 곧 헤스론과 하물이요

풀이: 유다의 아들은 엘, 오난, 셀라, 베레스, 세라. 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었다. 베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물.

And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.

잇사갈의 아들 곧 돌라와 부와와 욥과 시므론이요

풀이: 잇사갈의 아들은 돌라, 부와, 욥, 시므론.

And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

스불론의 아들 곧 세렛과 엘론과 얄르엘이니

풀이: 스불론의 아들은 세렛, 엘론, 얄르엘.

And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

이들은 레아가 밧단아람에서 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이라 그 딸 디나를 합하여 남자와 여자가 삼십 삼명이며

풀이: 이들은 레아가 밧단아람에서 야곱에게 낳아 준 자손이다. 딸 디나까지 합하면, 그 아들딸은 모두 서른셋이었다.

These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan–aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.

갓의 아들 곧 시뵨과 학기와 수니와 에스본과 에리와 아로디와 아렐리요

풀이: 갓의 아들은 시뵨, 학기, 수니, 에스본, 에리, 아로디, 아렐리.

And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

아셀의 아들 곧 임나와 이스와와 이스위와 브리아와 그들의 누이 세라며 또 브리아의 아들 곧 헤벨과 말기엘이니

풀이: 아셀의 아들은 임나, 이스와, 이스위, 브리아, 그리고 그들의 누이 세라. 브리아의 아들은 헤벨과 말기엘.

And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.

이들은 라반이 그 딸 레아에게 준 실바가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이라 합 십 륙명이요

풀이: 이들은 라반이 자기 딸 레아에게 준 실바가 야곱에게 낳아 준 자손으로, 모두 열여섯이었다.

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.

야곱의 아내 라헬의 아들 곧 요셉과 베냐민이요

풀이: 야곱의 아내 라헬의 아들은 요셉과 베냐민.

The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.

애굽 땅에서 온 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫이 요셉에게 낳은 므낫세와 에브라임이요

풀이: 요셉에게는 애굽 땅에서 므낫세와 에브라임이 태어났다. 온의 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫이 그에게 낳아 준 아들이다.

And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti–pherah priest of On bare unto him.

베냐민의 아들 곧 벨라와 베겔과 아스벨과 게라와 나아만과 에히와 로스와 뭅빔과 훕빔과 아릇이니

풀이: 베냐민의 아들은 벨라, 베겔, 아스벨, 게라, 나아만, 에히, 로스, 뭅빔, 훕빔, 아릇.

And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

이들은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳은 자손이라 합 십 사명이요

풀이: 이들은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳아 준 자손으로, 모두 열넷이었다.

These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

단의 아들 후심이요

풀이: 단의 아들은 후심.

And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

납달리의 아들 곧 야스엘과 구니와 예셀과 실렘이라

풀이: 납달리의 아들은 야스엘, 구니, 예셀, 실렘.

And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

이들은 라반이 그 딸 라헬에게 준 빌하가 야곱에게 낳은 자손이니 합이 칠명이라

풀이: 이들은 라반이 자기 딸 라헬에게 준 빌하가 야곱에게 낳아 준 자손으로, 모두 일곱이었다.

These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.

야곱과 함께 애굽에 이른 자는 야곱의 자부 외에 육십 륙명이니 이는 다 야곱의 몸에서 나온 자며

풀이: 야곱과 함께 애굽에 이른 사람, 곧 야곱의 몸에서 나온 자손은 며느리들을 빼고 모두 예순여섯이었다.

All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

애굽에서 요셉에게 낳은 아들이 두 명이니 야곱의 집 사람으로 애굽에 이른 자의 도합이 칠십명이었더라

풀이: 여기에 애굽에서 요셉에게 태어난 두 아들을 더하면, 애굽으로 들어간 야곱 집안 사람은 모두 일흔이었다.

And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

야곱이 유다를 요셉에게 미리 보내어 자기를 고센으로 인도하게 하고 다 고센 땅에 이르니

풀이: 야곱은 유다를 먼저 요셉에게 보내, 고센으로 가는 길을 미리 일러 두게 했다. 그렇게 그들은 고센 땅에 이르렀다.

And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

요셉이 수레를 갖추고 고센으로 올라가서 아비 이스라엘을 맞으며 그에게 보이고 그 목을 어긋맞겨 안고 얼마 동안 울매

풀이: 요셉은 수레를 갖추어 아버지 이스라엘을 맞으러 고센으로 올라갔다. 아버지를 보자, 그는 아버지의 목을 끌어안고 한참을 울었다.

And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

이스라엘이 요셉에게 이르되 네가 지금까지 살아 있고 내가 네 얼굴을 보았으니 지금 죽어도 가하도다

풀이: 이스라엘이 요셉에게 말했다. "네가 아직 살아 있고, 이렇게 네 얼굴을 보았으니 — 이제 죽어도 좋다."

And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

요셉이 그 형들과 아비의 권속에게 이르되 내가 올라가서 바로에게 고하여 이르기를 가나안 땅에 있던 내 형들과 내 아비의 권속이 내게로 왔는데

풀이: 요셉이 형들과 아버지의 집안 사람들에게 말했다. "제가 올라가 바로께 아뢰겠습니다. '가나안 땅에 있던 제 형들과 아버지의 집안이 제게 왔습니다."

And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

그들은 목자라 목축으로 업을 삼으므로 그 양과 소와 모든 소유를 이끌고 왔나이다 하리니

풀이: "그들은 목자이고, 줄곧 가축을 치며 살아온 사람들입니다. 그래서 양 떼와 소 떼와 가진 모든 것을 이끌고 왔습니다' 하고요."

And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

바로가 당신들을 불러서 너희의 업이 무엇이냐 묻거든

풀이: "바로가 형님들을 불러 '너희가 하는 일이 무엇이냐'고 묻거든,"

And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?

당신들은 고하기를 주의 종들은 어렸을 때부터 지금까지 목축하는 자이온데 우리와 우리 선조가 다 그러하니이다 하소서 애굽 사람은 다 목축을 가증히 여기나니 당신들이 고센 땅에 거하게 되리이다

풀이: "이렇게 대답하십시오. '당신의 종들은 어릴 때부터 지금까지 가축을 쳐 왔습니다. 우리도, 우리 조상도 다 그러했습니다.' 그래야 형님들이 고센 땅에 머물 수 있습니다. 애굽 사람은 목자라면 질색하기 때문입니다."

That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
