다윗이 헤브론에서 낳은 아들들이 이러하니 맏아들은 압논이라 이스르엘 여인 아히노암의 소생이요 둘째는 다니엘이라 갈멜 여인 아비가일의 소생이요

풀이: 다윗이 헤브론에서 얻은 아들들은 이러하다. 맏아들은 암논으로, 이스르엘 여인 아히노암이 낳았다. 둘째는 다니엘로, 갈멜 여인 아비가일이 낳았다.

Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess:

세째는 압살롬이라 그술 왕 달매의 딸 마아가의 아들이요 네째는 아도니야라 학깃의 아들이요

풀이: 셋째는 압살롬으로, 그술 왕 달매의 딸 마아가의 아들이다. 넷째는 아도니야로, 학깃의 아들이다.

The third, Absalom the son of Maachah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur: the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith:

다섯째는 스바댜라 아비달의 소생이요 여섯째는 이드르암이라 다윗의 아내 에글라의 소생이니

풀이: 다섯째는 스바댜로, 아비달이 낳았다. 여섯째는 이드르암으로, 다윗의 아내 에글라가 낳았다.

The fifth, Shephatiah of Abital: the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife.

이 여섯은 다윗이 헤브론에서 낳은 자라 다윗이 거기서 칠년 육개월을 치리하였고 또 예루살렘에서 삼십 삼년을 치리하였으며

풀이: 이 여섯은 다윗이 헤브론에서 얻은 아들이다. 다윗은 거기서 7년 6개월을 다스렸고, 예루살렘에서 다시 33년을 다스렸다.

These six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.

예루살렘에서 낳은 아들들은 이러하니 시므아와 소밥과 나단과 솔로몬 네 사람은 다 암미엘의 딸 밧수아의 소생이요

풀이: 예루살렘에서 얻은 아들들은 이러하다. 시므아, 소밥, 나단, 솔로몬 — 이 네 사람은 모두 암미엘의 딸 밧수아가 낳았다.

And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath–shua the daughter of Ammiel:

또 입할과 엘리사마와 엘리벨렛과

풀이: 그리고 입할, 엘리사마, 엘리벨렛,

Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,

노가와 네벡과 야비야와

풀이: 노가, 네벡, 야비야,

And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

엘리사마와 엘랴다와 엘리벨렛 아홉 사람은

풀이: 또 엘리사마, 엘랴다, 엘리벨렛 — 이렇게 아홉이다.

And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.

다 다윗의 아들이요 저희의 누이는 다말이며 이 외에 또 첩의 아들이 있었더라

풀이: 이들이 모두 다윗의 아들이며, 그 밖에 소실들이 낳은 아들들이 더 있었다. 누이로는 다말이 있었다.

These were all the sons of David, beside the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.

솔로몬의 아들은 르호보암이요 그 아들은 아비야요 그 아들은 아사요 그 아들은 여호사밧이요

풀이: 솔로몬의 아들은 르호보암, 그 아들은 아비야, 그 아들은 아사, 그 아들은 여호사밧,

And Solomon’s son was Rehoboam, Abia his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,

그 아들은 요람이요 그 아들은 아하시야요 그 아들은 요아스요

풀이: 그 아들은 요람, 그 아들은 아하시야, 그 아들은 요아스,

Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,

그 아들은 아마샤요 그 아들은 아사랴요 그 아들은 요담이요

풀이: 그 아들은 아마샤, 그 아들은 아사랴, 그 아들은 요담,

Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,

그 아들은 아하스요 그 아들은 히스기야요 그 아들은 므낫세요

풀이: 그 아들은 아하스, 그 아들은 히스기야, 그 아들은 므낫세,

Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,

그 아들은 아몬이요 그 아들은 요시야며

풀이: 그 아들은 아몬, 그 아들은 요시야다.

Amon his son, Josiah his son.

요시야의 아들들은 맏아들 요하난과 둘째 여호야김과 세째 시드기야와 네째 살룸이요

풀이: 요시야의 아들들은 맏아들 요하난, 둘째 여호야김, 셋째 시드기야, 넷째 살룸이다.

And the sons of Josiah were, the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.

여호야김의 아들들은 그 아들 여고냐, 그 아들 시드기야요

풀이: 여호야김의 아들들은 그 아들 여고냐와 그 아들 시드기야다.

And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.

사로잡혀 간 여고냐의 아들들은 그 아들 스알디엘과

풀이: 사로잡혀 끌려간 여고냐의 아들들은 그 아들 스알디엘과,

And the sons of Jeconiah; Assir, Salathiel his son,

말기람과 브다야와 세낫살과 여가먀와 호사마와 느다뱌요

풀이: 말기람, 브다야, 세낫살, 여가먀, 호사마, 느다뱌다.

Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

브다야의 아들들은 스룹바벨과 시므이요 스룹바벨의 아들은 므술람과 하나냐와 그 매제 슬로밋과

풀이: 브다야의 아들들은 스룹바벨과 시므이다. 스룹바벨의 아들은 므술람, 하나냐이며, 그들의 누이는 슬로밋이다.

And the sons of Pedaiah were, Zerubbabel, and Shimei: and the sons of Zerubbabel; Meshullam, and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister:

또 하수바와 오헬과 베레갸와 하사댜와 유삽헤셋 다섯 사람이요

풀이: 그 밖에 하수바, 오헬, 베레갸, 하사댜, 유삽헤셋 — 이렇게 다섯이다.

And Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, Jushab–hesed, five.

하나냐의 아들은 블라댜와 여사야요 또 르바야의 아들 아르난의 아들들, 오바댜의 아들들, 스가냐의 아들들이니

풀이: 하나냐의 아들은 블라댜와 여사야이며, 또 르바야의 아들들, 아르난의 아들들, 오바댜의 아들들, 스가냐의 아들들이 있다.

And the sons of Hananiah; Pelatiah, and Jesaiah: the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah.

스가냐의 아들은 스마야요 스마야의 아들들은 핫두스와 이갈과 바리야와 느아랴와 사밧 여섯 사람이요

풀이: 스가냐의 아들은 스마야이며, 스마야의 아들들은 핫두스, 이갈, 바리야, 느아랴, 사밧 — 이렇게 여섯이다.

And the sons of Shechaniah; Shemaiah: and the sons of Shemaiah; Hattush, and Igeal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six.

느아랴의 아들은 에료에내와 히스기야와 아스리감 세 사람이요

풀이: 느아랴의 아들은 에료에내, 히스기야, 아스리감 — 이렇게 셋이다.

And the sons of Neariah; Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three.

에료에내의 아들들은 호다위야와 엘리아십과 블라야와 악굽과 요하난과 들라야와 아나니 일곱 사람이더라

풀이: 에료에내의 아들들은 호다위야, 엘리아십, 블라야, 악굽, 요하난, 들라야, 아나니 — 이렇게 일곱이다.

And the sons of Elioenai were, Hodaiah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Dalaiah, and Anani, seven.
