출애굽기 28장

너는 이스라엘 자손 중 네 형 아론과 그 아들들 곧 나답과 아비후와 엘르아살과 이다말을 그와 함께 네게로 나아오게 하여 나를 섬기는 제사장 직분을 행하게 하되

풀이: 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 네 형 아론과 그 아들들 — 나답과 아비후, 엘르아살과 이다말 — 을 네 곁으로 불러 세워, 그들이 제사장으로 나를 섬기게 하여라.

And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

네 형 아론을 위하여 거룩한 옷을 지어서 영화롭고 아름답게 할찌니

풀이: 네 형 아론을 위해 거룩한 옷을 지어, 그 옷이 위엄 있고 아름답게 하여라.

And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

너는 무릇 마음에 지혜 있는 자 곧 내가 지혜로운 영으로 채운 자들에게 말하여 아론의 옷을 지어 그를 거룩하게하여 내게 제사장 직분을 행하게 하라

풀이: 내가 지혜의 영으로 가득 채운 솜씨 좋은 이들, 마음에 지혜를 갖춘 모든 이에게 일러, 아론의 옷을 짓게 하여라. 그 옷으로 그를 거룩히 구별해 제사장으로 나를 섬기게 하려는 것이다.

And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

그들의 지을 옷은 이러하니 곧 흉패와 에봇과 겉옷과 반포 속옷과 관과 띠라 그들이 네 형 아론과 그 아들들을 위하여 거룩한 옷을 지어 아론으로 내게 제사장 직분을 행하게 할찌며

풀이: 그들이 지을 옷은 이러하다. 가슴받이와 어깨옷, 겉옷과 격자무늬로 짠 속옷, 머리에 두르는 관과 띠다. 그들은 네 형 아론과 그 아들들을 위해 이 거룩한 옷을 지어, 그가 제사장으로 나를 섬기게 하여라.

And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

그들의 쓸 것은 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실이니라

풀이: 그 일에 쓸 것은 금실과 청색·자색·홍색 실, 그리고 곱게 꼰 고운 모시실이다.

And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

그들이 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 공교히 짜서 에봇을 짓되

풀이: 금실과 청색·자색·홍색 실, 곱게 꼰 모시실로, 솜씨를 들여 어깨옷을 짓는다.

And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

그것에 견대 둘을 달아 그 두 끝을 연하게 하고

풀이: 어깨옷에는 멜빵 둘을 두 끝에 달아 서로 이어, 한 벌로 붙게 한다.

It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.

에봇 위에 매는 띠는 에봇 짜는 법으로 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 에봇에 공교히 붙여 짤찌며

풀이: 어깨옷 위에 매는 띠도 같은 솜씨로, 같은 감으로 — 금실과 청색·자색·홍색 실, 곱게 꼰 모시실로 어깨옷에 이어 붙여 짠다.

And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

호마노 두개를 취하여 그 위에 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 새기되

풀이: 호마노 두 개를 가져다, 그 위에 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 새겨라.

And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:

그들의 연치대로 여섯 이름을 한 보석에, 나머지 여섯 이름은 다른 보석에

풀이: 태어난 차례대로, 여섯 이름은 한 보석에, 남은 여섯 이름은 다른 보석에 새긴다.

Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

보석을 새기는 자가 인에 새김 같이 너는 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 그 두 보석에 새겨 금테에 물리고

풀이: 보석 새기는 장인이 인장을 파듯, 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 두 보석에 새겨, 금테에 물려라.

With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.

그 두 보석을 에봇 두 견대에 붙여 이스라엘 아들들의 기념 보석을 삼되 아론이 여호와 앞에서 그들의 이름을 그 두 어깨에 메어서 기념이 되게 할찌며

풀이: 그 두 보석을 어깨옷의 두 멜빵에 붙여, 이스라엘 아들들을 기억하게 하는 보석으로 삼는다. 이렇게 아론은 신 앞에서 그들의 이름을 두 어깨에 지고 들어가, 그들을 기억하게 한다.

And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

너는 금으로 테를 만들고

풀이: 또 금으로 테를 만들고,

And thou shalt make ouches of gold;

정금으로 노끈처럼 두 사슬을 땋고 그 땋은 사슬을 그 테에 달찌니라

풀이: 순금으로 노끈처럼 사슬 둘을 땋아, 그 땋은 사슬을 금테에 단다.

And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

너는 판결 흉패를 에봇 짜는 법으로 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 공교히 짜서 만들되

풀이: 판결을 내리는 가슴받이를, 어깨옷과 같은 솜씨로 만들어라. 금실과 청색·자색·홍색 실, 곱게 꼰 모시실로 솜씨를 들여 짠다.

And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

장광이 한뼘씩 두 겹으로 네모 반듯하게 하고

풀이: 네모반듯하게, 두 겹으로 접어, 길이도 한 뼘 너비도 한 뼘이 되게 한다.

Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

그것에 네 줄로 보석을 물리되 첫 줄은 홍보석 황옥 녹주옥이요

풀이: 그 위에 보석을 네 줄로 물려라. 첫 줄은 홍옥과 황옥과 녹주옥,

And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

둘째 줄은 석류석 남보석 홍마노요

풀이: 둘째 줄은 석류석과 청옥과 백수정,

And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

세째 줄은 호박 백마노 자수정이요

풀이: 셋째 줄은 호박과 백마노와 자수정,

And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

네째 줄은 녹보석 호마노 벽옥으로 다 금테에 물릴찌니

풀이: 넷째 줄은 녹주석과 호마노와 벽옥이다. 모두 금테에 물려 박는다.

And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

이 보석들은 이스라엘 아들들의 이름대로 열 둘이라 매 보석에 열 두 지파의 한 이름씩 인을 새기는 법으로 새기고

풀이: 이 보석들은 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 따라 열두 개다. 인장을 새기듯 매 보석에 한 이름씩, 열두 지파의 이름을 새긴다.

And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

정금으로 노끈처럼 땋은 사슬을 흉패 위에 붙이고

풀이: 또 순금으로 노끈처럼 땋은 사슬을 가슴받이에 달아라.

And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.

또 금고리 둘을 만들어 흉패 위 곧 흉패 두 끝에 그 두 고리를 달고

풀이: 그리고 금고리 둘을 만들어 가슴받이의 두 끝에 달고,

And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

땋은 두 금사슬로 흉패 두 끝 두 고리에 꿰어 매고

풀이: 땋은 두 금사슬을 가슴받이 두 끝의 고리에 꿴다.

And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.

두 땋은 사슬의 다른 두 끝을 에봇 앞 두 견대의 금테에 매고

풀이: 땋은 두 사슬의 다른 두 끝은 두 금테에 매어, 어깨옷 앞쪽 두 멜빵에 단다.

And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.

또 금고리 둘을 만들어 흉패 아래 양편 가 안쪽 곧 에봇에 닿은 곳에 달고

풀이: 또 금고리 둘을 만들어, 가슴받이 아래 두 끝의 가장자리, 곧 어깨옷에 닿는 안쪽에 달아라.

And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.

또 금고리 둘을 만들어 에봇 앞 두 견대 아래 매는 자리 가까운 편 곧 공교히 짠 띠 윗편에 달고

풀이: 또 금고리 둘을 만들어, 어깨옷 앞쪽 두 멜빵 아래, 이음매에 가까운 자리, 곧 어깨옷의 띠 바로 위에 단다.

And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

청색 끈으로 흉패 고리와 에봇 고리에 꿰어 흉패로 공교히 짠 에봇 띠 위에 붙여 떠나지 않게 하라

풀이: 청색 끈으로 가슴받이의 고리를 어깨옷의 고리에 매어, 가슴받이가 어깨옷의 띠 위에 자리 잡아 떨어지지 않게 하여라.

And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

아론이 성소에 들어갈 때에는 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 기록한 이 판결 흉패를 가슴에 붙여 여호와 앞에 영원한 기념을 삼을 것이니라

풀이: 이렇게 아론은 거룩한 곳에 들어갈 때마다, 이스라엘 아들들의 이름을 새긴 이 판결의 가슴받이를 가슴에 품어, 신 앞에서 늘 그들을 기억하게 한다.

And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.

너는 우림과 둠밈을 판결 흉패 안에 넣어 아론으로 여호와 앞에 들어 갈 때에 그 가슴 위에 있게 하라 아론이 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 자손의 판결을 항상 그 가슴 위에 둘찌니라

풀이: 그 판결의 가슴받이 안에 우림과 둠밈을 넣어, 아론이 신 앞에 들어갈 때 그것이 그의 가슴에 있게 하여라. 아론은 이렇게 이스라엘 자손의 판결을 늘 가슴에 품고 신 앞에 선다.

And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.

너는 에봇 받침 겉옷을 전부 청색으로 하되

풀이: 어깨옷 안에 받쳐 입는 겉옷은 전부 청색으로 짓는다.

And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

두 어깨 사이에 머리 들어갈 구멍을 내고 그 주위에 갑옷 깃 같이 깃을 짜서 찢어지지 않게하고

풀이: 그 한가운데 머리가 들어갈 구멍을 내고, 그 둘레에는 갑옷 깃처럼 단단히 짜서, 찢어지지 않게 한다.

And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.

그 옷 가장자리로 돌아가며 청색 자색 홍색실로 석류를 수 놓고 금방울을 간격하여 달되

풀이: 그 옷자락 가장자리를 빙 둘러, 청색·자색·홍색 실로 석류를 수놓고, 그 사이사이에 금방울을 단다.

And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

그 옷 가장자리로 돌아가며 한 금방울, 한 석류, 한 금방울, 한 석류가 있게 하라

풀이: 옷자락을 빙 둘러 금방울 하나, 석류 하나, 금방울 하나, 석류 하나가 번갈아 이어지게 한다.

A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

아론이 입고 여호와를 섬기러 성소에 들어갈 때와 성소에서 나갈 때에 그 소리가 들릴 것이라 그리하면 그가 죽지 아니하리라

풀이: 아론이 섬길 때 이 옷을 입는다. 그가 거룩한 곳에 들어가 신 앞에 설 때와 나올 때 그 방울 소리가 들릴 것이니, 그래야 그가 죽지 않는다.

And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

너는 또 정금으로 패를 만들어 인을 새기는 법으로 그 위에 새기되 「여호와께 성결」이라 하고

풀이: 또 순금으로 패를 만들어, 인장을 새기듯 그 위에 「신께 거룩」이라 새겨라.

And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

그 패를 청색 끈으로 관 위에 매되 곧 관 전면에 있게 하라

풀이: 그 패를 청색 끈으로 관에 매어, 관 앞면에 자리 잡게 한다.

And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

이 패가 아론의 이마에 있어서 그로 이스라엘 자손의 거룩하게 드리는 성물의 죄건을 담당하게 하라 그 패가 아론의 이마에 늘 있으므로 그 성물을 여호와께서 받으시게 되리라

풀이: 이 패가 아론의 이마에 있어, 이스라엘 자손이 거룩히 바치는 모든 예물, 그 거룩한 것들에 묻은 허물을 아론이 짊어진다. 그 패가 그의 이마에 늘 있어, 그들의 예물이 신 앞에 기꺼이 받아들여지게 한다.

And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.

너는 가는 베실로 반포 속옷을 짜고 가는 베실로 관을 만들고 띠를 수 놓아 만들찌니라

풀이: 고운 모시실로 속옷을 격자무늬로 짜고, 고운 모시로 관을 만들며, 띠는 수를 놓아 만든다.

And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.

너는 아론의 아들들을 위하여 속옷을 만들며 그들을 위하여 띠를 만들며 그들을 위하여 관을 만들어서 영화롭고 아름답게 하되

풀이: 아론의 아들들을 위해서도 속옷을 만들고, 띠를 만들며, 머리에 쓸 관을 만들어, 위엄 있고 아름답게 하여라.

And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.

너는 그것들로 네 형 아론과 그와 함께한 그 아들들에게 입히고 그들에게 기름을 부어 위임하고 거룩하게 하여 그들로 제사장 직분을 내게 행하게 할찌며

풀이: 이 옷들을 네 형 아론과 그 아들들에게 입히고, 그들에게 기름을 부어 직무를 맡기고 거룩히 구별하여, 제사장으로 나를 섬기게 하여라.

And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

또 그들을 위하여 베로 고의를 만들어 허리에서부터 넓적다리까지 이르게 하여 하체를 가리게 하라

풀이: 또 그들을 위해 모시로 속바지를 지어, 허리에서 넓적다리까지 이르게 해 맨살을 가리게 하여라.

And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

아론과 그 아들들이 회막에 들어갈 때에나 제단에 가까이 하여 거룩한 곳에서 섬길 때에 그것들을 입어야 죄를 지어서 죽지 아니하리니 그와 그의 후손의 영원히 지킬 규례니라

풀이: 아론과 그 아들들이 만남의 천막에 들어갈 때나, 제단에 다가가 거룩한 곳에서 섬길 때 이 옷을 입어야 한다. 그래야 허물을 짊어지고 죽는 일이 없다. 이는 그와 그의 후손이 대대로 영원히 지킬 규례다.

And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
