솔로몬이 또 놋으로 단을 만들었으니 장이 이십 규빗이요 광이 이십 규빗이요 고가 십 규빗이며

풀이: 솔로몬은 또 청동으로 제단을 만들었다. 길이가 20규빗, 너비가 20규빗, 높이가 10규빗이었다.

Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

또 바다를 부어 만들었으니 직경이 십 규빗이요 그 모양이 둥글며 그 고는 다섯 규빗이요 주위는 삼십 규빗 줄을 두를만하며

풀이: 또 청동을 녹여 부어 '바다'라 불리는 거대한 물그릇을 만들었다. 한쪽 가장자리에서 맞은편까지 지름이 10규빗인 둥근 모양이었고, 높이는 5규빗, 둘레는 줄로 재면 30규빗이었다.

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

그 가장자리 아래에는 돌아가며 소 형상이 있는데 매 규빗에 소가 열씩 있어서 바다 주위에 둘렸으니 그 소는 바다를 부어 만들 때에 두 줄로 부어 만들었으며

풀이: 그 가장자리 아래에는 빙 둘러 가며 소 모양이 새겨져 있었다. 1규빗마다 소가 열 마리씩 바다를 에워쌌다. 이 소들은 바다를 부어 만들 때 두 줄로 함께 주조한 것이었다.

And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

그 바다를 열 두 소가 받쳤으니 셋은 북을 향하였고 셋은 서를 향하였고 셋은 남을 향하였고 셋은 동을 향하였으며 바다를 그 위에 놓았고 소의 뒤는 다 안으로 두었으며

풀이: 그 바다는 소 열두 마리가 떠받쳤다. 셋은 북쪽을, 셋은 서쪽을, 셋은 남쪽을, 셋은 동쪽을 바라보았고, 바다는 그 위에 얹혔으며 소들의 뒷부분은 모두 안쪽을 향했다.

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

바다의 두께는 한 손넓이만하고 그 가는 백합화의 식양으로 잔 가와 같이 만들었으니 그 바다에는 삼천 밧을 담겠으며

풀이: 바다의 두께는 손바닥 너비만 했고, 그 가장자리는 잔 가장자리처럼, 활짝 핀 백합꽃 모양으로 만들었다. 거기에는 물 3,000밧이 담겼다.

And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

또 물두멍 열을 만들어 다섯은 우편에 두고 다섯은 좌편에 두어 씻게 하되 번제에 속한 물건을 거기 씻게 하였으며 그 바다는 제사장들의 씻기를 위한 것이더라

풀이: 또 물두멍 열 개를 만들어 다섯은 오른쪽에, 다섯은 왼쪽에 두고 씻는 데 썼다. 통째로 태워 바칠 제물에 딸린 것들을 거기서 씻었다. 그러나 그 큰 바다는 제사장들이 몸을 씻기 위한 것이었다.

He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

또 정식을 따라 금으로 등대 열을 만들어 외소 안에 두었으니 좌편에 다섯이요 우편에 다섯이며

풀이: 또 규정된 모양대로 금으로 등대 열 개를 만들어 성소 안에 두었으니, 왼쪽에 다섯, 오른쪽에 다섯이었다.

And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

또 상 열을 만들어 외소 안에 두었으니 좌편에 다섯이요 우편에 다섯이며 또 금으로 대접 일백을 만들었고

풀이: 또 상 열 개를 만들어 성소 안에 두었으니, 왼쪽에 다섯, 오른쪽에 다섯이었다. 그리고 금으로 대접 백 개를 만들었다.

He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an hundred basons of gold.

또 제사장의 뜰과 큰 뜰과 뜰 문을 만들고 놋으로 그 문짝에 입혔고

풀이: 또 제사장들의 뜰과 큰 뜰, 그리고 뜰로 드는 문을 만들고, 그 문짝에는 청동을 입혔다.

Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

그 바다는 전 우편 동남방에 두었더라

풀이: 그 바다는 성전 오른쪽, 곧 동남쪽 모퉁이에 두었다.

And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

후람이 또 솥과 부삽과 대접을 만들었더라 이와 같이 후람이 솔로몬왕을 위하여 하나님의 전에서 하는 일을 마쳤으니

풀이: 후람은 또 솥과 부삽과 대접을 만들었다. 이렇게 후람은 솔로몬 왕을 위해 신의 전에서 맡은 일을 모두 마쳤다.

And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

곧 기둥 둘과 그 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은 머리 둘과 또 기둥 꼭대기의 공 같은 기둥 머리를 가리우는 그물 둘과

풀이: 그가 만든 것은 이러하다. 기둥 둘, 그 기둥 꼭대기에 얹힌 공 모양의 머리 둘, 그 공 모양 머리를 덮는 그물 세공 둘,

To wit, the two pillars, and the pommels, and the chapiters which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were on the top of the pillars;

또 그 그물들을 위하여 만든바 매 그물에 두 줄씩으로 기둥 위의 공 같은 두 머리를 가리우게 한 사백 석류와

풀이: 그리고 그 두 그물에 달 석류 400개 — 그물마다 두 줄씩으로, 기둥 위에 얹힌 공 모양의 두 머리를 덮게 한 것이었다.

And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars.

또 받침과 받침 위의 물두멍과

풀이: 또 받침대들과 그 받침대 위에 놓을 물두멍들,

He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;

한 바다와 그 바다 아래 열 두 소와

풀이: 바다 하나와 그 바다 아래의 소 열두 마리,

One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

솥과 부삽과 고기 갈고리와 여호와의 전의 모든 그릇들이라 후람의 아비가 솔로몬왕을 위하여 빛난 놋으로 만들 때에

풀이: 그리고 솥과 부삽과 고기 갈고리, 신의 전에 쓰는 모든 기구들이다. 후람의 장인이 솔로몬 왕을 위해 이 모든 것을 윤이 나는 청동으로 만들었다.

The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of the Lord of bright brass.

왕이 요단 평지에서 숙곳과 스레다 사이의 차진 흙에 그것들을 부어 내었더라

풀이: 왕은 요단 평야의 숙곳과 스레다 사이, 차진 진흙땅에서 이것들을 거푸집에 부어 주조했다.

In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

이와 같이 솔로몬이 이 모든 기구를 심히 많이 만들었으므로 그 놋 중수를 능히 측량할 수 없었더라

풀이: 솔로몬은 이 모든 기구를 엄청나게 많이 만들었기에, 쓰인 청동의 무게는 도무지 헤아릴 수가 없었다.

Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

솔로몬이 또 하나님의 전의 모든 기구를 만들었으니 곧 금단과 진설병 상들과

풀이: 솔로몬은 또 신의 전에 쓸 모든 기구를 만들었다. 곧 금으로 만든 제단과, 차려 놓는 빵을 올려 두는 상들,

And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

내소 앞에서 규례대로 불을 켤 정금 등대와 그 등잔이며

풀이: 내소 앞에서 규정대로 불을 켤 순금 등대들과 그 등잔들,

Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

또 순정한 금으로 만든 꽃과 등잔과 화젓가락이며

풀이: 또 순금으로 만든 꽃 장식과 등잔과 불을 다듬는 집게,

And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

또 정금으로 만든 불집게와 주발과 숟가락과 불 옮기는 그릇이며 또 전 문 곧 지성소의 문과 외소의 문을 금으로 입혔더라

풀이: 그리고 정금으로 만든 심지 가위와 주발과 숟가락과 불 옮기는 그릇이었다. 또 성전 입구, 곧 지성소로 드는 안쪽 문과 본당으로 드는 문도 금으로 입혔다.

And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
